The UPMC Medical Education Harrisburg Addiction Medicine Fellowship is a 12 month ACGME program in Harrisburg, Pa. The program is committed to providing its fellows with an enriching academic and clinical learning experience with the ultimate goal of developing physicians who lead in providing care to patients with substance use disorders. The fellow will learn to work as an effective member of a healthcare team, in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. Faculty members will teach the fellow how to service both the immediate and unique needs of the diverse community. Following successful completion, the fellow may sit for ABMS-level certification.

Fellows will train at a variety of locations in Central Pa., to include UPMC Harrisburg, Pinnacle Health Center for Addiction Recovery, Gaudenzia Inpatient Detox, Premier Medical Rehab, UPMC Carlisle Rehab, UPMC Women’s and Babies The STRENGTH Program, Harrisburg Harm Reduction Project, UPMC Center for Addiction Recovery Mobile Unit. The fellow may also have the opportunity to train at UPMC locations in Pittsburgh.
