When hard work meets opportunity, it can create a powerful combination. Since 2016, UPMC Hamot has been a proud partner of Eagle’s Nest Leadership Corporation. Eagle’s Nest provides residents of inner-city Erie with job skills training and entry-level employment opportunities at UPMC Hamot. Hundreds of people have graduated from the program since its creation and gone on to work at UPMC Hamot. Many of those graduates have received promotions, and many are pursuing higher education. The venture has also helped increase the diversity at UPMC Hamot, an important step in our ongoing mission to provide equitable care for all communities we serve.
Working in partnership with the University of Pittsburgh and a wide range of community organizations, we are committed to improving the health of the communities we serve.
Life Changing Medicine at UPMC is made possible every day through the generosity of numerous individuals, corporations and foundations.
With volunteers ranging from teens to seniors and options involving office work or patient care, there's a place for all qualifying volunteers at nearly two dozen UPMC hospitals.
