IBD U.N.I.T.E.

IBD U.N.I.T.E. (Unify, Network, Inspire, Treat, and Educate) is an annual UPMC education program for inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) patients, their families, and loved ones. This program is accredited for nurses and dietitians.

Open to all Crohn’s disease and ulcerative colitis (collectively known as inflammatory bowel disease, or IBD) patients, family members, and loved ones.

This program is designed to address the needs of the adult IBD patient. Teen patients are welcome to attend with adult accompaniment.

Important IBD U.N.I.T.E. topics include:

  • "Hope Not Hype” in IBD: Sorting through available information to see what really works!
  • IBD medical treatment and surgical advancements.
  • Why behavioral health interventions work.
  • Physician, medical team, and patient panels to address your questions.
