Post-Graduation Year Three

Kimberly Chipetine, DO
Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine, NY-’18

Dr. Chipetine was born and raised in New York and has an accent to prove it. She graduated from Brown University with a BSc in Human Biology, concentrating in Brain and Behavior. For several years after undergrad, she worked as a teacher for Kaplan until the day she made the decision to apply to medical school. Kim graduated from Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in Harlem, New York. In her free time, Kim enjoys taking advantage of the Lancaster countryside. “I love the beautiful location with access to hiking and other outdoor activities.”

Saima Mukta DO – Chief Resident
New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine-’17

Dr. Mukta graduated from New York Institute of Technology College of Medicine (NYIT-COM) and continued to pursue her interest in Family Medicine at UPMC Lititz Family residency. “It is the faculty and staff in this residency that make this a wonderful place to learn and grow as a physician. Within Family Medicine, I have an interest in mental health and adolescent medicine. In my free time, I love to travel with my husband, spend time with my family, cook, and crochet.”

Yuqi Wang, DO
Western University of Health Sciences College of Osteopathic Medicine of the Pacific, Pomona Campus-’18

Dr. Wang went to Western University of Health and Science in California for medical school after completing her Biochemistry degree from UCLA. “I really like the suburban setting our hospital. The small size of our residency allows me to build close relationship with the residents and attending physicians. I enjoy painting and playing piano at my leisure. I also have 3 adorable pets at home.”

Post-Graduation Year Two

Theodore Hsu, DO
New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine-‘18

Dr. Hsu is a second year family medicine resident at UPMC Lititz. Born and raised in New York City, he completed his undergrad at SUNY Binghamton and medical school at NYITCOM. He is interested in primary care and sports medicine. “In my down time, I enjoy cooking regional dishes and brewing cider.”

Alexandra Kitzmiller, DO
Liberty University College of Osteopathic Medicine-’19

Dr. Kitzmiller graduated from George Mason University with a Bachelor's degree in Community Health, concentrated in Nutrition. She graduated from medical school at Liberty University College of Osteopathic Medicine. “My favorite thing about our residency program is the size. We are a small program so we get to work really closely with each other, as well as our attendings! In my free time, you will always find me with my family exploring new places in Lititz and Lancaster!"

Manish Kumar, DO
Rowan University School of Osteopathic Medicine-’19

Dr. Kumar is from Media, PA. He attended Johns Hopkins University, earning a BS in Biomedical Engineering and having multiple publications in neuroscience. He then went on to earn a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at Rowan University in South Jersey, which is a watershed area that has provided a wide range of patient population and medical cases. “I chose UPMC Lititz because it provides great freedom to individually customize the program, state of the art facilities, beautiful scenery, excellent people, and great town.” During his spare time, he likes to swim at the Lititz Rec Center, ride his bicycle at the nearby trails, and make weekend trips to Philadelphia or NYC.

Post-Graduate Year One

Karine Delroux, DO
West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine-‘20

After earning a Ph.D from the University of Edinburgh (Scotland) in Molecular Biology and working for many years as a research scientist in vector biology, Dr. Delroux earned her DO from West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in 2020. A practitioner of Family Medicine, her passion is mental health, particularly among children and adolescents. Women’s and LGBTQ health are also core areas of interest. “When I’m not wielding the stethoscope, I prefer to cut loose in the kitchen, spend time with my husband and daughters, and read.”

Damanjeet Gill, DO
University of Pikeville, Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine-‘20

Though originally from India, Dr. Gill completed undergrad at Pitt-Johnstown, PA and later went to medical school at KYCOM in Pikeville, KY. “I was attracted to the FM program at Lititz because as a smaller program, it’s very personable and resident-driven. Plus it’s close to home! I’m still exploring my future interests, whether it includes primary care, sports medicine, global health, or urgent care. During my free time I like hiking & traveling, Onewheeling, playing table tennis & soccer, building PCs, and gaming.”

Dorine Lantimo-Vetter, DO
NOVA Southeastern College of Osteopathic Medicine-‘18

Dr. Lantimo-Vetter came to this country 20 years ago from Haiti with one goal in mind: becoming a physician and give back to her community. In the journey toward her goal, she learned English, attended college, and graduated medical school from Nova Southeastern University. Today she is living her dream as a UPMC-Lititz Family Medicine resident. “I enjoy this program because I am getting a great education while also being able to have a work life balance. I spend time cooking Haitian food with my mother and playing with my three-year-old mischievous son. In the future, I plan to practice in a diverse community and inspire a new generation of African American physicians.”

Nathan Zimmerman, DO
Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine-‘20

Dr. Zimmerman is actually a local! He grew up here in Lititz and remembers when this hospital was first being built. Shadowing at this hospital is when his passion for medicine began! Nate went to Juniata College as an undergrad for biopsychology and went to medical school at LECOM in Erie, PA. “I’m one of the new family medicine residents and am looking to incorporate my interests of psychology and sports medicine into my practice down the road. I’m also a big soccer fan and love a good day of fishing. I chose to go to UPMC Lititz for a few reasons, but the biggest is the ability to incorporate areas of interest into your actual residency curriculum.”
