Amanda had laparoscopic adjustable band surgery in June 2011. Since her surgery, Amanda reports feeling more outgoing.
"I'm a lot more willing to go out and do more things," she says.
In Aug. 2010, Jane had laparoscopic adjustable band surgery. She calls it the best decision she has ever made.
"I feel like I should have done this a long time ago," she says.
Leetoya, who had gastric bypass surgery in Sept. 2009, appreciated the way the staff at UPMC Hamot Bariatric Surgery and Weight Management Center treated her.

Ray had reached a point in his life where he found he couldn't do the things he really wanted to do, which lead to his decision to have gastric bypass surgery in Jan. 2011.
"There was a point where I needed to change myself," he says.
After he had a sleeve gastrectomy in May 2011, Terry saw an immediate change with his diabetes.
"I was taking insulin four times a day," he says. "And the day they did the surgery, it was gone."
