Whether a recent high school graduate or a second-degree student, there's a place for you at UPMC Schools of Nursing. We offer both full-time, part-time, LPN-RN bridge, and extended option for students who need flexibility in their education. We may also award you credit for courses that you've already completed, so please contact us for more information.

UPMC Mercy is a Regional Resource Trauma Center with a faith-based approach to patient care.
Founded in 1895, the Jameson Memorial Hospital School of Nursing has trained more than 2,500 nurses with a focus on improving the health and wellness of their communities.
Each program allows students to learn from exceptional nurses, faculty, and patient care teams.
UPMC Schools of Nursing are accredited and approved by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
Our graduates are eligible for the NCLEX-RN exam, and will earn a diploma in nursing upon graduation.
Also, if graduates wish to further their education, they receive priority admission to the RN-BSN program at our partner universities.
We are currently conducting in-person learning for all nursing courses. Non nursing courses are instructed both in-person and virtually, and subject to change.
COVID 19 Update: All faculty, staff, and students, regardless of vaccination status, must wear face coverings at all times during classroom instruction, clinical experiences, and onsite at any UPMC facility.
