UPMC Northwest and the Northwest Hospital Foundation invite all cancer survivors, along with their families and friends, to a picnic celebrating life. RSVP by calling 814-677-1463 by Friday, Aug. 9.

Commemorative ornaments from Wendell August Forge are available for $7 and includes a card with your loved one's name printed on it. Deadline to order ornaments is Monday, July 22.

The Collins House Now Open

The Collins House, a home for hospice patients of the Visiting Nurses Association (VNA) of Venango County, is now open. Part of UPMC Home Healthcare, The Collins House is for hospice patients who wish to live in a home-like setting through the end-of-life. It is staffed by VNA Venango employees who provide 24-hour care. Any individual who is qualified for hospice and is a hospice patient of VNA Venango can reside at The Collins House and pay only room and board.

The Venango VNA Foundation funded the entire venture and will continue to support The Collins House and its operations.
